Any required supplies or medical needs are not far with Benson only 15 minutes and Tucson only 45 minutes from the new Southern Arizona oasis of St. David Springs.
The area has farmland for a resource-rich homestead that allows you to live close to the land.

Lifestyle blocks are small rural properties, typically between 5 to 20 acres that are used for a mix of residential living and small-scale farming or family lifestyle agriculture.

Lifestyle blocks are often purchased by people who want a country lifestyle and an atmosphere to aid in the development, responsibility and work ethic of young children, but don’t necessarily depend on farming as their primary income source.

Essential to a Lifestyle Block or Homestead as an assurance of a plentiful and perpetual water supply as water is a scare and essential ingredient.

Lifestyle blocks Are Popular:

  • United States & Canada –”lifestyle blocks,” exist as small homesteads, rural estates, or hobby farms.
  • New Zealand – The term “lifestyle block” is most commonly used in New Zealand, where many city dwellers purchase small rural properties for a quieter, more self-sufficient lifestyle.
  • Australia –often called “hobby farms” or “rural residential properties.”
  • United Kingdom – Referred to as smallholdings, these properties are popular among people seeking sustainable or off-grid living.

No matter where, these properties are attractive to those wanting to grow their own food, raise animals, help children gain responsibility or enjoy space and privacy while remaining within a reasonable distance of urban centers.
